Our mission is to empower the youth of Ekurhuleni through holistic development programs that foster talent, confidence, leadership, and community pride in the areas of sports, art, culture, and recreation.

We envision a vibrant, engaged, and self-driven generation of youth who are equipped with life skills, cultural awareness, and purpose to uplift their communities and beyond.
Our Story
Founded in 2023, Ekurhuleni Sports, Art, Culture and Recreation Development is a private youth-focused organization that addresses the lack of creative and physical engagement opportunities in underprivileged communities. Through programs, workshops, festivals, and partnerships, we have reached over 5,000 young people in the past six years.
Meet Our Team
Mr James Msibi
Founder & Director – Passionate about youth leadership, James Msibi started the organization to create a space for young people to grow, learn, and lead.
Gontse Mpho Mkhabela
Program Coordinator – With a background in sports science and community development, Thabo manages daily youth programs and outreach events.
Phumla Mhlongo
Art & Culture Coach – A creative force who mentors youth in visual art, dance, and storytelling rooted in African traditions.
Nompumelelo Hlongwane
We also have Nompumelelo Hlongwane one of our best decision makers of the company she makes sure that every decition made by ekurhuleni sports art culture and recreation development is best and benefit both the company and our ekurhuleni youth
